Microsoft - Nokia vs Newkia
Microsoft just brought part of Nokia to give new life to the friendship. This will help Microsoft in building a bigger patent and also create Handsets with Nokia's R&D..
but unknowingly somewhere in Singapore... a new company is being set up (to fail? lol) This new company has nothing to do with the merger but is founded by former Asia Pac CEO of Nokia.. The name..."NEWKIA".
Thomas Zilliacus vouch that "NEW"kia, they will rely on past experience to create the phone we consumer always wanted... a Nok running android.. instead of Windows Mobile 8.
in my heart.. i felt for him... that's great but.... he has a big obstacle to cross. reason being. he's a nobody with just a startup company. Nokia still has tons of patents that now Microsoft holds and R&D in Finland still belongs to Nokia.. How can somebody from somewhere says he's gonna make that dream phone we always wanted..
I would rather he make that phone with funding from Kickstarter instead.

2013 just got interesting...
The year of smart watches & mega mega pixel camera just exploded at IFA 2013, with Honami Z1 from sony, Toq from Qualcomm, Note3 & Galaxy Gear from Samsung. It's pretty tight this year round trying to outbeat each other technology to be the best and also the innovative phone/smart device out there.
let's get into details...
the Z1 seems to be top of the line this year round but it's specs just does not make the cut except the camera module.. Snapdragon 800 is going to be the standard for Q4 2013, and that 20megapixel G Lens was what Sony was blowing trumpet about.. but there were no claps coming from the crowd when Kazuo Hirai made a closure.. the phone just didnt sizzle the crowd.. neither did the it hit me... Saw reviews and pictures output of the phone... I was totally disappointed. noisy and unusable night photo. noisy day shoot as well. The only great thing going on.... 3 x optical zoom thanks to the 6lens combi.
what about note3? well we did not see a 16GB anywhere this time round. Samsung is in trouble with their bloated OS... Do you think that paltry 16GB will run at all? I must be laughing hard at those who welcomed the 32GB variant... yeah.. You might only have 16GB left thanks to over hyped features that Samsung has been pushing.(When will samsung learn? 32 and 64GB are so yester years. Meizu from China is already offering 128GB in their Meizu 3) Note3 did have some improvements over the old. especially software side that makes multitasking much "easier" to the eyes. We bet these features will soon be ported by 3rd parties to help out the old and the wise (note 2 & note 8.0) Blackberry has been doing theirs for years :) the leather back covers is a welcome change.
Oh yeah! I almost forgot 3GB worth of ram... :) Do we really need that much?
Let's get back to reality. Dick tracy always has his handy smart watch to do wonders... today we saw 2 new smart watches that tried to outdo each other. Huh this thing can only last a day? I was laughing away as you struggle to find a power outlet to charge your watch and phone.... the only difference between Toq and Galaxy gear is just what users really want.. both watches are smart.. extending to apps as well .. popping a camera into the Gear give it a I wanna be photographer anywhere i go. Toq runs on mirasol screen and it's gonna give you the ability to fry... i meant check out time even in the hot blazing and glaring sun.. while you cannot do so for the Gear...
most of these details has yet to settle.
What we know... all of them will be out soon... Will i get a review unit? nope.. I got no contacts.. but I will be giving you first GRAB news off reputable sites.
last but not least IFA is not over.. Apple has yet to show off their might.... Let's pray for wonders!
